The opening race of the 2010-season of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) is under the watch of Alpina Genève horology – the Official Timekeeper of the event since 2009. This year the 58th race, the most grueling endurance race in North America, took place from March 17-20, 2010 on Sebring International Raceway in Florida, USA.

In this connection the luxury sports watch brand from Geneva Alpina, introduced a new limited edition: the Alpina 12 Hours of Sebring Automatic Chrono 2010, the first edition within the new Alpina Racing Collection.

There are only 158 pieces of the Alpina 12 Hours of Sebring Automatic Chrono 2010. The watches were officially presented at the Gallery of Legends VIP Area on Saturday, March 20, where a passionate crowd of no less than 170’000 race fans had the opportunity to get acquainted with the new Alpina 12 Hours of Sebring Automatic Chrono 2010.

The watches perfectly meet all the pilots’ needs: a perfect fit on the drivers’ wrist, ensured by the rounded and smooth case shape, readability, highest level of accuracy, shock resistance and sturdiness. The Alpina 12 Hours of Sebring Automatic Chrono 2010 watch’s diameter is 47mm. The watch features a black dial with red and silver elements in the matt black stainless steel case.

This is possible thanks to Alpina’s sophisticated chronograph with a 12-hour counter in the lower half of the dial. To highlight this feature, a subtle red ‘12′ symbolizes the finish line.

Moreover, the Alpina 12 Hours of Sebring Automatic Chrono 2010 shows time and date offering a GMT function. Both front and reverse sides of the timepiece are equipped with ultra resistant sapphire crystals. Not to forget the water resistance to 100 meters.
